Our client wanted something very special for Steve's 50th birthday, but Steve wanted to go fishing...

We designed "invitations" for friends, colleagues and family to write, sing, video tape or create a message for Steve on his birthday... Oprah, Bush, Springsteen, along with tons of other friends and family gave great efforts for this great man. With everyone's contributions, we created a five-chaptered book with each chapter dedicated to a particular segment of his life. We worked round the clock scanning and printing everyone's messages and then placing them in the appropriate chapters. To introduce the chapters in a special way, we gold-embossed a logo on the chapter title pages and inserted them behind a beautifully-printed, vellum photo overlay of each of Steve's five children.

To create a video presentation of all the videos (and there were a lot), we downloaded them onto an iTouch. We then created an elaborate box to house the book and the iTouch side by side. For the cover of the book, we inset a letterpressed letter from Steve's lovely wife. And for the cover of the box that held this all together, we inset a beautiful coat of arms that a friend had painted for Steve. The painting on the box was actually a high-resolution rerpdouction of the original painting, printed on archival watercolor paper, while the actual watercolor painting was framed.

Needless to say this was an amazingly fun and exciting project to work on. The end result was cherished by all.
