Michael Gilbert, an extremely gifted photographer based in Maui and Paris asked me to design a box to house his collection of photographs titled Angels & Devas. After seeing the photos I knew this would be a great opportunity to get creative. Because many images included water I wanted the box to reflex the quality of water. I used a blue cloth that reminded me of a mermaid and paired it with a lovely yellow cloth with blue accents that reminded me of rain. In My Body

The In My Body project is an ongoing exploration of the issues of body image, self-perception and body esteem through various forms of expression such as fine art photography, song, dance, theater, video and photographic documentation, workshops and roundtables.
Bella Forte created beautiful letterpressed invitations which included an original photograph by Leah Macdonald. The font was created by one of the artists who collaborated on the exhibition.
Additionally, we created a beautiful book with the photographs in the show printed on archival paper, letterpress printing and vellum overlays and a matching clamshell box with a bone clasp enclosure.
In My Body also did performances at the Painted Bride in Philadelphia. Check their web site inmybody.org for more information
